Set in the late 1990’s, Bottle Breaker is about a brilliant graduate-level creative writing student, Samantha Grayson, who is challenged with writing a better short story than a state-of-the-art artificial intelligence console, named Cobb. As the challenge begins to personally affect her, she finds support in the endeavor from her boyfriend, Blake, and tries to write the perfect story. The film asks the question: If machines can do everything as well as humans, even creating art, what does that mean for our species? Is anything sacred?
